Adventures on Day 1 or is it 2?

Adventures on Day 1 (or 2, depending on your point of view)
we apologize in advance that this blog is brought to you by pacific standard time which refuses to budge...dates may be closer than they appear

The first flight waited....and waited,,,,and waited some more at the beautiful Dublin Airport Terminal.  The kids passed the time in a variety of ways...

THE KIDS WERE GREAT!  I am so proud of how helpful and kind they all are...kids helped each other schlepp the huge instrument cases all through the airport and on the chilly, misty trek to load the truck and buses.

The chaperones were happily caffeinated...they make proper tea everywhere here, and excellent coffee too!

We also had the opportunity to tour the Irish National Stud with the one of the highlights being seeing the young and newborn foals, and the miniature horses which are kept on the grounds strictly for the touring school children.  We ate lunch at the cafe there and toured the adjacent Japanese Gardens.  The countryside is so very green and we are happy to report that spring flowers do still exist!

We have checked in at the hotel, been fed and are looking forward to a busy day of sightseeing tomorrow!
